I’m a freelance editorial and commercial photographer based between Colorado, California and Washington. I specialize in work that lives at the intersection of culture, adventure, and the human connection to wild places. My photography and editing have been recognized by the NPPA, the Washington Press Association, and the Society of Professional Journalists, and my work has appeared in Travel + Leisure, The Guardian, High Country News, Trail Runner, Outside, Wired, CPR, and other outlets committed to meaningful storytelling.
With a background as a mountain guide and rope rescue technician, I’m experienced working in remote and challenging environments — whether that’s a glaciated peak, an isolated ranch, or backcountry terrain. My subject matter often explores outdoor culture, conservation, environmental issues, and the nuanced ways people engage with landscape. In addition to photography, I bring experience as a writer, designer, and photo editor, which helps me craft visual stories that are both compelling and cohesive.
I’m a WFR, an AMGA Apprentice Alpine Guide, Assistant Rock and Ski Guide, and hold a PRO 2 Avalanche certification. I also teach avalanche courses through AIARE. Whether embedded with a media crew or operating solo, I’m a safe, skilled, and collaborative presence on set.
If you’re looking for a photographer who can keep up in the field, handle a story with care, and deliver images that resonate — let’s talk.
